Hey! My name is Mike Schirch (pronounced “Church”); I’m a professional musician and owner of Pineapple Studio. I’ve played well over 1,000 gigs within the last decade: some nights to empty bars and some nights to packed clubs. 

As the years progressed and I became more established as a musician, my goal shifted from “let’s get gigs that pay!” to “let’s get gigs that pay more!” I’m sure you can probably relate. 

In an effort to land some noteworthy opportunities, my jazz trio applied to perform at the world-renowned Tri-C JazzFest in Cleveland, OH. One of the requirements was to submit a video of a live performance. We desperately wanted to play this festival, so we went all-in on the video production. 

We filmed the song with multiple cameras, recorded everything with studio-quality audio equipment, and then mixed and edited every angle and track into a high-energy music video for what became my trio’s signature song.

Not only did we get to perform at the jazz festival, our song received national airplay on jazz radio, and even charted at #1 locally. We’ve used this video to land multiple other high-profile or high-paying gigs for YEARS after we filmed it. I’m confident that if we half-assed this video, my band would not have achieved the level of success that we did.

This first-hand experience with the power of a high-quality performance video led me to start this business in hopes of helping other bands get higher-paying gigs too!
